NEW! Hand Died Yarn - New Bluefaced Leicester wool - Fingering - 100gr/400m - UPDATE!

This one is a superwash a little thiner than the old one. The colours are a lighter version of my last alpaca/silk. The difference is that this one is not variegated, the colors tones are mixed along the yarns. First I thought it was the new australian wool, but after it completely dryed and looked my stock carefully, found out I had an extra bluefaced pack and 1 less australian merino...
But the yarn is still great and soft :)

"Gift from Mother Earth" yarn dyeing experiment

Today I used my new hand dyeing technique to try multicolored earthy colours tones...
Just hope it wont be a desaster!
I used the 100% Merino Superwash - fingering.
Let's see tomorrow :)
And if it turns ok, for this one I kept the recipe to do it again :)

Slowly coming back to knitting....

As you may have noted, I have hand dyed much more than usual...
It  happened because I was unable to knit for medical reasons...
I started slowly with only knits stitches and took back my "Cameo" shawl from PaulinaP. You can find the pattern on Ravelry here:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cameo-8
I'm only in the beginning so it's just knits, kf/b and picot.
Not ready to get back to lacy shawls yet...and I don't think I will be able soon..Still having trouble to fix things in my head... :(
I'm using a beautiful semi solid brown BFL wool as first colour...the yarn is gorgeous to knit with. So soft and have a beautiful shine. BFL wools makes beautiful shades of browns, almost like if it had some silk in it :)
